Lab Manager, Department of Computer Science (December 2018, current)

My main focal points these days are coaching students for Blue Team competitions, training on cyber security and digital forensics software, other cyber security programs. I'm working on SOC training and a cyber range for the University.

Data Center Operations Supervisor (April 2013 - November 2018)

This role was the endpoint of a long-term path, that began in 2005, at creating true subject matter expertise in IT facilities management at Sam Houston State University. By this point, I was building and providing timely reports for myself, my team, and management that laid out growth capacity, potential trouble spots, and upcoming maintenance costs and schedules. I was focused on ensuring round-the-clock monitoring and response for two small (but robust!) data centers. I was SME for power, cooling, HR policy, and rapid onboarding/training of entry level staff.

Hobbies

In the fractional spare time that I get, I enjoy watchmaking. Here are a few of my completed projects.
